  • 4. Meet Charges for Bimonthly Meetings.
  • 5. Meet Charges for Annual Picnic.
  • 6. Donations to AFVOA.
  • 7. Full or Part sponsorship of catering charges for the meetings of AFVOA.
  • 8. Full or Part sponsorship of honouring Guests invited to give lecture, presentation, or entertainment to the members of AFVOA.

Question 3 : How do I make payments to AFVOA ICICI Bank Account?

Answer:
  • 1. By online transfer like NEFT, RTGS, IMPS etc. made to AFVOA ICICI Bank Account.
  • 2. By Cheque Drawn in favour of ARMED FORCES VETERAN OFFICER’S ASSOCIATION, CHENNAI.
  • 3. By Cash (Cash will be accepted only under exceptional circumstances).
  • 4. By directly depositing the cash in any of the ICICI Bank branches and forwarding the counterfoil by post to the Treasurer, AFVOA.

Question 4 : Whom should I contact to inform that the Payments are made?

Answer:
  • 1. After making the payments, please inform the treasurer always by email treasurer.afvoac@gmail.com
  • 2. Quote the membership number always and the details of payments received from your bank for reconciling the accounts.
  • 3. If you are unable to forward details by email, then forward the same by SMS to the Treasurer Mobile number 99529 49390 quoting the membership number always and the details of payments received from your bank. No Whatsapp please.

Question 5 : How do I get a receipt for the payments made to AFVOA?

Answer:
  • 1. You will be issued with an e receipt to your registered e mail address.
  • 2. The same can be made available by SMS on request.

Question 7 : What are the common errors found in the Cheque payments and online payments?

Answer:

Cheques are issued from the accounts of others including spouses and in some cases in the name of some Company, which is reflected in the Bank accounts and the Treasurer cannot identify the member and reconcile the amounts credited. So the Cheques presented should include the name of the members and their ID number along with their mobile number.

When online payments are made by cash the name of the member who made such remittance cannot be ascertained. It is also found that online payments are made with remarks like “Bi-monthly meeting”, “Kattupalli visit” etc without mentioning the name of the member. This makes the job of the Treasurer difficult to account for the payments received. All online payments should always mention the name of the members and their ID number.
