To foster a sense of camaraderie among the retired/released officers, as also the spouses and widows/widowers of the officers from the Armed Forces of the Union. |

To foster dissemination of knowledge regarding defence matters among the members, and the general public by organizing seminars and by interacting with other bodies with similar objectives, with the further aim of enhancing the quality of debate on defence matters. |

To collect subscriptions, contributions, donations and gifts for the betterment of the Association. |

To plan various welfare activities like library, Old Age Home etc. |

To establish, maintain, run, conduct and carry on institutions for the purpose of educating the members on matters relevant for the benefit of the members. |

To engage consultants, advocates, professionals including auditors to advise the society on the various matters which are relevant in the day to day running of the society and to employ workers, administrative staff, clerks, accountants and other employees to run the affairs of the society. |

To accept grants, donations in cash or in kind and to pay out of the funds available with the society from time to time for any expenses incurred in connection with the attainment of the main objects of the society. |

To institute awards, scholarships and to recognize best managerial talents among members and to recognize contributions made by members and others to attain the main objects of the society. |

To establish Chapters and liaison offices in India and abroad to promote relations among the Members. |

To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the main objects. |
