Transportation Two buses are being organized to ferry the participants to Avadi and back. Both buses will start from Youth Hostel Indira Nagar at 0750 hrs. Bus A will be under the command of Surg Capt CV Natarajan. He will be in charge of the bus. Members and their families desirous of travelling by bus and boarding here will reach Youth Hostel at 0740 hrs. His contact numbers are 24470551 and 9841703950. Both buses will proceed to ECHS, Nandambakkam . The buses will pick up members at this location. Bus B will be under the command of Col SJ Baskar Rao. He will be in charge of the bus. Members and their families desirous of travelling by bus and boarding here will reach ECHS at 0800 hrs. His contact numbers are 22347578 and 9444976578. Both buses will leave for Avadi from this location at 0815 hrs. Trains There is an option to travel by train. Train timings are as follows: Madras Beach to Avadi Military Siding: 0905 and 1005 Madras Central to Avadi Military Siding: 0625 and 0725 From Avadi Military Siding to Madras Central: 1510, 1620 and 1720. It takes approx 70 minutes travel in both directions. Transport will be provided from and to Military Siding for those arriving and departing by train. It takes just 10 minutes from the Siding Station to the Officers Mess, AF Station, Avadi. Own Arrangements Some of the members have expressed their desire to reach the venue on their own under their own arrangements. They are welcome to do so as per their convenience.
