Yours Sincerely, Cdr P Premnath At sea  Sir, This is in connection with the annual picnic that we had recently on 20 Jan at Camp Gloria. It was a well planned and well managed programme. Everyone - senior citizens and sub juniors - enjoyed it thoroughly. Kudos to all the members of the organizing committee. The arrangement of looking after all of us right from breakfast up to packed dinner was nothing short of excellent. The weather God also was very kind and considerate in that it did not rain as it happened once earlier and the sun was not very warm either. The entertainments also was very enjoyable and in Tambola one senior member got a snow ball. Only thing was that there was a note of impropriety (I felt so) in that when the Guest Speaker was being introduced by an invitee one senior member said that there was no time for him to listen as he had other commitments. I feel he could have been more polite about it since this could reflect poorly on the individual and perhaps on the way we treat our revered guests. Member may be requested to avoid such incidents. The Bi-monthly meeting gone by was celebrated as our Annual Picnic. A record number of participants attended the Picnic. We had in all a strength of 170 people attending the event. The whole day was filled with entertainments of various sorts and every one had a good time. 2. The spot chosen for the Picnic was Camp Gloria on the East Coast Road. We owe a special thanks to Mr Thomas George for making the fine facility available to us this year also. Camp Gloria has lovely out door games area with shady trees and a well maintained lawn where all the outdoor games were held. The hexagonal Centenary Hall provided an ideal place for us to hold our indoor activities such as our business meeting, tambola and indoor games. In addition fully furnished rooms were placed at our disposal (in case any one desired to rest) as also their pantry and kitchen. Their staff, particularly Mr. Antony, were very courteous, helpful and diligent in their efforts to ensure that our day passed off well. Assembly, Move to and Arrival at the Picnic Spot 3.
