The second house started off in right earnest, and others who preferred to have the refreshments moved towards the tables and commenced their dinner. The first minor prize was won by Brig SP Balachandran, and as he was collecting the cash, the rain descended in all its fury, resulting in the gathering rushing inwards to save themselves from being drenched. Gradually, the eats were shifted in, so that the others could also partake of the delicious food. As there was no let up in the rains, the meeting had to be abruptly concluded. The Snow ball of Rs 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) had perforce to be carried over.
