Such members can convert the same for lifetime cover, during the validity period of the membership by paying additional premium. The additional premium in the case of officers/widows is Rs 3000.00. Treatment of Cancer – Exservicemen Ex-servicemen or their dependents are not authorized treatment for cancer in Military Hospitals. The treatment, which costs a few lakhs today, will certainly increase in the days to come. The Indra Prastha Cancer Society and Research Centre has offered a chance for LIFE TIME protection against cancer by providing Free treatment and annual check up of cancer at Rajiv Gandhi Institute and Research Centre, Delhi, on a one-time donation of Rs 5000.00. Narayanaswamy Memorial Lecture, on the 11 th November 2000. Air Marshal Vinod Patney SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, VrC, ADC , Vice Chief of Air Staff, delivered the keynote address on “Kargil and After”. The talk was followed by a panel discussion. The Panel had as its members - Shri B. Raman, Member National Security Advisory Board, Prof Gopalji Malaviya, Shri Ram Mohan, Maj Gen Shantonu Chaudhry and Shri S. Swaminathan. The audience consisted a large number of senior serving and retired officers from all the services, including a large number from the AFVOA.
