An apartment he was so proud of. He had taken the trouble to personally select every little artefact that decorated his living room. Every painting and picture that adorned the walls had a story to tell. What was the use of all that effort, if he had to leave it all behind for someone else to enjoy? What was the use of all the hard work and money he earned at such a young age ? His body had left this earth but his soul wandered around. He was aghast at the talk , gossip and sensational news that was doing the rounds after his death. His soul was curious to find out more, so he roamed around to listen. If he was alive, he would have been amused, irritated and of course furious at the falseness of it all. He heard some folks whispering that he was a drug addict and that he could not cope with the lockdowns and the virus. Another section of people were making up stories of how disturbed he was after he broke up with his girlfriend. And yet another group was vehement about the failure of his career and what a loser he was. People will slinging allegations left, right and centre. Then he heard the most horrible tale about his family. His mother was a depressed soul and died of heart break. Some praised his accomplishments and his intelligence. They called him smart yet humble. Yet another group found him mentally imbalanced and that he was unable to cope with the stress of daily life. His soul was disturbed at all the false allegations, stories and rumours floating around. He wished he could get back to earth and clarify this nonsense. Then again who would believe him. People wanted to believe what they wanted to believe. H
