Page 5 of 9 Recipe 2 - Mangodi – Mrs Chandrika Harsha MANGODI A very famous snack of Madhya Pradesh, Mangodi is made in every household, like we people make Bajji in Tamilnadu. Ingredients Whole Moon Dal - 1 Cup Onion Finely chopped - ½ Cup Coriander Finely chopped - 1 tbsp Ginger Finely chopped - 1 tsp Green Chilly Finely chopped - 2 nos Salt to taste Oil for frying Method Soak Moong Dal for 4 hours Grind it coarsely without adding water Add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger and salt to taste. Set aside. In a wok heat oil and make small gooseberry size balls of the mix and fry it in medium heat till it turns golden brown. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce. Optional – Sprinkle Chat Masala powder over the fried Mangodi for added taste.
