As such it is easy for the service chiefs to obtain Govt sanction on urgent op requirements and that too very quickly through this channel on certain specified subjects. Perhaps our system could adopt a similar system!!. The delegation was briefed on the organization of the set up and the system of functioning. Every member of the delegation was presented with a framed handicraft work of Kantha embroidery. The culmination of our visit was a Cultural programme organized by 9 Inf Division in the National Parade Ground, Tezgaon old Airport. The attendance was massive as the troops were all permitted for the event. It was an open air function and the items very much resembled the regimental functions held in our Army. 18 Dec 2012 All good things must also come to a close. We were to board our return flight to New Delhi in the morning. Our checking out from the hotel was planned in such way that we could wait and only after knowing the departure timing of the flight from New Delhi, we move for the airport. Every member was presented an album of some photographs taken during our visit to various functions and also a CD that covered the entire trip from the time of our arrival at Dhaka. A very thoughtful and appropriate gift indeed. Finally we moved around 1030hrs for the Dhaka Airport and took off by the Air India flight at 1130hrs, after affectionate hugs and handshakes and lots of individual camera clicks. Our heartfelt condolences to the family. May his soul rest in peace. ++++
