Everything that we are and will be depends entirely on each one of us. The future of AFVOA cannot be the exclusive concern of a handful; it is in fact safely in the hands of each one of you. We recognize this fact and thus, we are always open to your individual and collective wisdom, this shall be our strength and motivation to give our best and live up to the confidence you have bestowed upon us. Volunteerism has caught on and I am happy to see a few of our fellow veterans giving their time and energy as volunteers. I would like to particularly mention the name of Col KS Chakravarthi who has been conspicuous by his active volunteer activity in the ECHS Polyclinic at Nandambakkam. However, we need more volunteers for our internal audit of accounts, stock verification boards and the like. Please do spare some of your valuable time and help us. We have a full agenda on this AGM. I am sure your enlightened views on the points raised will result in optimal decisions being taken for improvements and further strengthening our organization. Before I conclude let me place on record my greatest appreciation for Brig K Muthulakshmi, Col TN Raman and Col RS Varadan who have been instrumental in running the affairs of the AFVOA over the last one year. I also thank our Patron for his generous guidance, his encouragement and his wise counsel. He has always been on the ball and his quick reply to our mails always impresses me. I also wish to thank some of our senior members and other well wishers who have given us so much close support whenever we needed it. Lastly my grateful thanks to you members and your gracious ladies who have stood by us and made our job easier.
