Thank you. “ADVICE- Wise don’t need it and Foots don’t take it”-----Anonymous From Your Editor One of the outcomes of the Election of a New Team of office bearers, is the Breath of Fresh air” and something Different” that the members want and perhaps expect. Team Chari” is conscious of this and would endeavour to rise up to your expectations. YOU give us the cooperation and WE are ready to serve you. We have drawn for ourselves a charter of duties to build up on the good work done by our predecessors and try attaining greater heights. We are confident that your support in abundance will be forthcoming. For the beginning, our cover page layout is Different”. The contents too would be Informal”, Informative” and surely Interesting.” For the initial stages, we will follow the current norms for the conduct of our next meeting on 28 August2011 Our Raising Day”, fell on 7 August which was our 17th Anniversary. From a mere congregation of 20, in the first meeting, we have grown in Strength, Stature and Status”. As of now, we have over 300 members. We are very happy and proud of our achievements in the last 17 years. We ought to congratulate ourselves for maintaining the golden traditions and ethos of our Armed Forces. Let us resolve to continue with our efforts to maintain the reputation that has been earned, by our correct and balanced attitude, respect to elders and above all, compassion. We need to motivate our sister service veterans to join our association, in order to enhance the spirit of camaraderie. Their acceptance of running the administration by volunteering for assisting the committee members during regular meetings could be the first step. “Come on brothers” we know your competence and your ability. So help us out. We have some fresh ideas to build up our interaction with each other. History has been made in the last AGM, by electing Brig. Muthulaxmy as the unanimous choice for the post of Vice President. A Lady in the Executive committee would certainly high light the views of our lady members and also of our wives to bring changes in the conduct of our activities. So Ladies, we welcome your inputs. Our data base to know details about you and your family is not complete. Not all of you have submitted the membership enrolment form, which gives us a fair amount of details. We shall make renewed efforts to collect the data and kindly cooperate to submit it during the meet itself. This will enable us to wish and greet you on your birthdays and marriage anniversary, a gesture and a token of our love and affection. A plan to computerise details of members, subscription paid and also location (area wise) and many more progressive ideas are on the anvil and are going to be discussed in Executive Committee meetings. Feel free to forward your ideas for examination. Looking forward to meet you on August 28, in full strength.
