Page 12 of 44 Commanding, ATNK&K Area. We assure the General the cooperation and goodwill of the AFVOA Veterans. We are confident that our mutual understanding would grow stronger and activities as per our Charter would flourish for the better. The next Meet on.20 Mar2011 will be a Cultural Meet at the usual venue. We shall have a mix of professional and our own talents entertaining us at the Meet. We are optimistic that everyone would enjoy the memorable evening. We shall like to revive our Golf Tournament between the Area Serving Officers and Veterans on the Cultural Meet Day in the morning hours subject to the convenience of the Serving Officers of ATNK & K Area. Rotational Golf Trophy, instituted for the purpose, would be presented to the Winner. We hope the Golfers and the Golf loving fraternity would avail the opportunity and enjoy the event. The present Executive Committee will have its last session in June third week which will be our AGM. New Committee Members will be elected and announced at the AGM. At the AGM the incumbent Committee would change old order yielding place to the newly elected Committee. Once again we reiterate our earnest desire to have young volunteers from all Three Services in the new Committee to manage our chartered activities benefiting our Veterans and their families. We remind those Veterans who are yet to pay their Annual subscription for the year 2010 -2011 to clear their dues before 31 Mar 2011. We also request all Veterans to pay the subscription for the year 2011- 2012 and remain an active member. As a helpful Veteran we should never be insensitive to the sufferings of fellow veterans and others. We should be cautious every moment that ‘ego’ in us does not make us feel that we are everything ourselves, lest we are caught in a ‘trap’ and we can never be ‘happy’. We look forward in meeting maximum Veteran Members and their families at the Cultural Meet on 20 Mar 2011. God bless you all. The next bi-monthly meeting will be held on Sunday, 20 Mar 2011 starting 1800 h. It will be a cultural meet. The venue as usual is the Palm Grove Ecological Park and Sports Complex, Island Grounds. Those who desire to attend the Meeting should intimate the details of persons attending to Lt Col M Narayanan, Ph.: 2448 8546, 98847 54610 before 13 Mar 2011. Subject. INTEPRETATION OF MOD LETTER MODIFIED PARITY FOR PRE-2006 DISABLED) WAR VETERANS EXPLANATORY NOTE As a result of DIWAVE’s persistent efforts to take up issues relating to war injury pension and other welfare measures of concern to disabled war veterans, MoD has issued an order dated 15.2.11 revising war injury element of war injury pension (as also disability element in respect of other disabled ex-servicemen). The letter was circulated vide DIWAVE email dated 25.2.11. 2.
