We would be doing our bit in the State Governments efforts towards ‘Singara Chennai’. Another important point to consider would be that we do not have any projects on our hand. In this context it is worth while mentioning that in the years gone by some of our eterans ran SSB coaching classes for aspirants to join the Armed Forces. We could consider taking up some such worthy projects so that veterans can contribute to the society that has given them so much. As mentioned earlier the next meeting is on 18 Jul 2010 and it will be our Annual General Meeting. We hope to see you at the venue. The very thought of AGM brings into focus several issues. Various events were held during the preceding twelve months. The enthusiastic encouragement and active participation of our members in large numbers has made every occasion a memorable success. May I request active participation from all our members on 18 Jul 2010. As Office Bearers, we are eagerly looking forward to valuable suggestions from our members. The way forward for AFVOA is to involve ourselves in the organization with passion. Over the years, AFVOA has been moving from strength to strength. Let us lay down a path for AFVOA to achieve greater heights. In the years to come we should achieve a standing in civil society wherein our members are sought for and included in policy decisions and projects that concern the growth and development of Tamil Nadu State. It is very satisfying to hear Senior Officers of the Serving Fraternity and in position of authority talk of AFVOA being the best organization among several that are existing in the country for retired officers.
