From the Editorial Team THE ONWARD JOURNEY OF VETERANS Once again we have come around to the period when we have to hold our AGM. The year, though eventful has inexorably rolled on to bring us together once again when we have to take stock of our positions, when we have to pause and look back at the route we have traversed and also to see the path ahead of us so that we can decide on the route we now have to traverse. The calendar year started off with a grand picnic which saw a record number of members and families participating in it. Another highlight of the year was the cultural meet which was enjoyed by all the members and families. Thus the association has lived up to its reputation as an organisation which above all provides an opportunity for all members to meet once every two months and spend a few soothing hours in the warm company of long trusted brothers in arms. A very healthy question has been raised by an eco-conscious member. In this electronic age when the world is moving towards paperless environs should we continue the age old habit of printing copies of our news letter on paper and distribute them? That is the question raised. Surprisingly many members, tree lovers mostly, have given their consent to dispense with the printed copy.
