Page 16 of 37 ARMED FORCES VETERAN OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION (AVFOA) NOTICE REGARDING ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING TO BE HELD ON 28 JUN 2009 1. In accordance with Para 13.2 of Armed Forces Veteran Officers’ Association (AFVOA) Memorandum and Bylaws, Notice is hereby given to all members of the Association that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the AFVOA will be held at 1800 h on 28 Jun 2009 at the PALMGROVE SPORTS COMPLEX ISLAND GROUNDS 2. Only those Members who are not in arrears of their Annual Subscriptions will be eligible to take part in the AGM. 3. The Agenda for the Meeting will be as follows:- (a) Opening Address by the President. (b) Presentation of Annual Report by the Secretary. (c) Presentation of Audited Accounts by Treasurer. (d) Appointment of Auditors for the financial year 2009-10. (e) Discussion of Members’ Points, received within the specified period of 20 Jun 09. (g) Points from the Executive Committee. (h) Felicitations. (i) Election of Office Bearers. (j) Address by the Patron. (k) Vote of Thanks. 3. Members are requested to forward suggestions and points for discussion to reach The Secretary, AFVOA, C/O ‘Palani Centre’, No. 32, Venkatanarayana Road, T Nagar, Chennai – 600 017 positively on or before 20 Jun 2009. Points received thereafter will not be accepted for discussion except any exceptional ones that may be permitted by the Chair. Similarly, points raised by any members during the conduct of AGM, with out prior notice, may not be taken up for discussion except as permitted by the Chair.
