We all welcomed the dawn of the “New Year” with gaiety and celebrated it with aplomb during our picnic on 07 January 2007.The efforts put in by the “Truncated “ Executive Committee bears testimony to the often quoted saying ”In adversity we shine more and even better”. 2. The unavoidable absence of the President and the Vice President did not deter the organizers. In the finest traditions, command and leadership was augmented by the experienced IPCM (Immediate Past Committee Members) who readily chipped in and rose to the occasion. The collective end result won the applause of every one. It was evident to all of us that concerted efforts in planning and execution must have been put in by the organizing committee to ensure that the members enjoy the day and remember the event of the year. It goes to the credit of our Association and its dedicated and committed members. May such stalwarts continue to carry forward the torch of our organization and keep our flag flying high in the coming years. 3. The fourth arm of our Armed Forces, the “Coast Guard” under the leadership of Inspector General Mr. Rajendra Singh, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region (East), have in the true spirit of Inter Services cooperation are planning a “Day at Sea with Family”.
