(c) Announcements. The following announcements were made:- (i) Subscriptions & Receipts. All those who had not paid their subscriptions for the year 2005-06 and for the year 2006-07 were reminded to pay the same to the Treasurer and collect the receipts. (ii) E-mail IDs & MDS. Members who had not given their E-mail IDs and also their MDS to the Association were requested to do so at the earliest. (iii) Chilli Spray. This is a safety product for self defence manufactured by a firm owned by Lt Col & Mrs CR Sundar. Anyone interested could contact the couple for more details. 11. The Secretary announced the commencement of the AGM proceedings by requesting the President to deliver his address. 12. Presidential Address. The President thanked the audience for their attendance in such large number for the AGM braving the heat, distance and the traffic. The cooperation that he and his team had received was indeed heart warming. The team members had carried out their responsibilities with total devotion and a spirit of camaraderie. It was truly a labour of love as they ignored their personal comfort, devoted their time, energy and other resources to ensure that the organization benefits. The President desired to place on record the enormous contributions made by the Executive Committee in taking forward many of the welfare measures planned and adhering to the time schedules despite their personal commitments and age barriers. He stated that it was a matter of great satisfaction for being associated with the team for a period of two years and carry out the responsibilities assigned. The President also thanked the audience for their unstinted cooperation. He wished the new committee which was to be elected during the meet all the very best, good luck and GOD speed. 13. Annual Report by the Secretary. The Secretary read out the minutes of the AGM held last year and the same was proposed as passed by Maj Gen Aban Naidu and seconded by Col N Viswanathan. He then delivered the Annual report covering all the activities for the year 2005-06. The Treasurer was thereafter requested to present the Audited Accounts. 14. Presentation of Annual Audited Accounts. The Annual Audited Accounts for the year 2005-06 was presented by the Treasurer and the same passed by the house with Col A Krishnaswami proposing and seconded by Col P Samuel Raj. The Treasurer also sought the approval of the house for the appointment of M/s Bhaskaran & Ramesh as Auditors for the year 2006-07 and the remuneration. The proposal was passed by the house with AVM V Krishnaswamy proposing while it was seconded by Cdr SR Prasad. . 15. Elections to the Executive Committee. The President then requested AVM V Krishnaswamy, to conduct the elections as the Returning Officer and Col A Krishnaswami, to
