The Ides of March have passed by. Traditionally this part of the year witnesses feverish studies by the students, as this is the examination season. On the national scene, this year there is even greater frenzied activity – the reason as every one knows is another Test – the elections to the Lok Sabha. 2. Talking of elections, voting has commenced and the first phase of the same is over. By the time our Meeting is held, voting is likely to be over. Shortly thereafter new governments at the Centre and a few States will take charge to ‘guide’ the destinies of this wonderful nation – Mera Bharath Mahan. At this point, I am reminded of a talk given by the well known Sukhi Sivam. He was mentioning that a very large percentage of the voting populace, was so poor, that they were generally unsure of getting even their next meal.
