As all of you are aware much water has flown down the Coom since Lt Gen Natarajan delivered the first talk at the MH, just as the ECHS was to be launched commencing April 2003. More recently, many of you may have attended the very informative talk given by Lt Gen Dua during the last week of Aug 2003. And for those who were unable to attend, a report of the Talk follows. 2. The Application forms have since been received and many collected the same during the last Meeting. About sixty members gave the draft affidavits which are being processed and will be returned to them shortly. 3. A number of instructions have since been collected from different sources and are reproduced in this Special Newsletter for the benefit of the readers. The sources where these have been culled are also mentioned. 4. In addition we have also received mails from friends and well-wishers at Delhi regarding the Scheme. Relevant extracts of the letters have been reproduced for your perusal. 5. Members may please note that the State Bank of India located at No 474, Anna Salai, Nandanam, (opposite to the TNHB office) is the only known SBI branch (at Chennai) which is accepting the MROs. Further, the amount should be paid in cash, to obtain receipts immediately. 6. Some of the material reproduced below may appear to be repetitive – as they have been sourced differently. Nonetheless, the articles have been produced in their entirety In order to preserve the originality of the documents. 7. It is recommended that members preserve this Newsletter as we have attempted to compile in one place all available material on this subject and the ECHS is the present and hopefully, will improve from strength to strength - once the initial teething troubles are over,
