A gist of the talk, as well as all other material available on the new scheme has been covered in a separate special Newsletter, which hopefully all of you have already gone through. A number of officers have already enrolled themselves for the new Scheme. It will take a while before any new scheme is put into place – more so, when bureaucracy and procedures have to be satisfied. One should remember that one cannot always win in some situations as in the anecdote following: A woman walks into her boss’s office with this complaint: “All the other women in the office are suing you for sexual harassment. Since you haven’t sexually harassed me, I’m suing you for discrimination.” In India, September and the months thereafter are filled with many festivals and holidays, with one almost on the heels of another. Dusserha is over and a week after our Meeting, we have the Festival of Lights, on which we have carried an article which is a different strain.
