The primary objective of INTEND 2001, was to identify the needs of the disabled across diverse categories and to seek solutions through applications in IT and related disciplines in the Indian context. The convener of the Conference was a AFVOA Veteran – Maj Gen A Balasubrahmanian, AVSM. All members were invited to participate in the Seminar. 13. One house of Tambola was played. A novel idea was adopted this time to reduce the pressure on the single service point system of our catering. The dinner was announced so that non playing members could help themselves to the hot and spicy food. The food was not a distraction for the avid Tambola player, who continued to strike the numbers in spite of the increasing ambient noise.
