Section 6 - Memoirs CV 2 No. 01 / 2021 Page 71 of 123 About the Author Studied at Loyola College. • Commissioned through National Defence Academy & Indian Military Academy in 1962, in the Indian Army. • An Infantry soldier, started from Sino-Indian War 1962 and served upto Kargil War, including Siachen Glacier. • Graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. • Post Graduate, Defence Studies, Madras University. • Post Graduate Diploma in Senior Defence Management at College of Defence Management. • Commanded Infantry Divisions in the Desert and Western plains. • Served in Staff and Instructional jobs at Officers Training Academy, College of Combat and National Defence College. • Headed the Committee on “Educational Reforms in the Army”. • Official Delegation to Seychelles, Nepal, Thailand and Netherlands. • Toured extensively in USA, Europe and South East Asia. • Commended for Distinguished Service. • Retired in 2000. • Been Director of a Management Institute for 5 years. • Associated closely with Veterans activities as President, Armed Forces Veteran Officers Association. • Participated actively in “Tech India” Initiative and specializing in Youth Development, motivation & Leadership.
