Be that as it may, the members of the Managing Committee can not stop admiring the long term vision and mission of the Founder Members of AFVOA who, two decades ago, had very thoughtfully designed a timeless and comprehensive Logo that stood the test of time, but making way for a new one solely on account of digitization compatibility demands of the advanced digital operating environment. Though the new avatar of the AFVOA Logo will come into effect immediately, the old Logo will hold a pride of place permanently in the annals of AFVOA, the hearts of all members and revered in the times to come. The M C acknowledges that there were a few misconceptions about the new Logo doing the rounds informally, but the presentation followed by an interactive Q & A session with the members had cleared the air and are grateful for the steady stream of compliments for the new Logo , including from a few dissenting members. The feelings of the members of the M C seemed to have diametrically traversed from the depths of the deepest of the deep, Mariana Trench in the Pacific to the tip of Mount Everest overnight! The members of the M C perceive this change of scene as a clear reinforcement of trust and faith in their unshakeable belief in post-retirement, inter- services veterans’ camaraderie and wish to place their sincere appreciation. A few members who expressed their disagreement for change were conspicuously absent. The MC thanks Col A Krishnaswami VrC, VSM & Bar, founder member of the AFVOA, for his concluding remarks in which he unanimously appreciated the new logo. This boosted the morale of the MC that had been subjected to undue stress without listening to the presentation. It was indeed very generous of Wing Commander S Sukumar to have offered to sponsor the entire expense on the new logo of Rs 5,900. On behalf of the AFVOA, the M C thanks him for his generous gesture.
