The M C has adequate reasons to believe that it stuck to these guiding tenets stringently all through it’s tenure. In sum and summary, a Member / Family spent less than Re 1 per virtual meeting. Even assuming that no sponsorship was available, the per capita expenditure wouldn’t have exceeded Rs 2 per event. In a lighter vein, it could be euphemistically stated as “Peanuts”! On the other hand, every Speaker, including the ones with celebrity tags, accepted our Invitation spontaneously, considered the opportunity as a personal honour, offered to share their knowledge & experience pro bono and expressed a genuine interest to be associated with AFVOA Chennai in future too. As on date, the Videos of these meetings that are archived permanently in our YouTube Channel have attracted 8,898 Visitors globally, giving AFVOA a very high visibility and a global footprint. Our Channel has 236 Subscribers, the non members among them alone are accounting for 75%. The value of goodwill that AFVOA Chennai has generated all around, not just among our members alone but the whole universe of attendees of these Zoom meetings is indeed intangible and can not be evaluated in monetary terms. Two of the four objectives of AFVOA are – 1. Interact to keep in touch and 2. Build on camaraderie. While the non-pandemic environment would have allowed just 7 bi- monthly physical meetings, the eConnect facilitated 39 virtual meetings – almost a six fold increase in the number of interactions. The participants’ feedback indicate how thoroughly enjoyable the interactions and their increased frequency were. If this is not building on camaraderie, what is? In short, the actual costs are unbelievably low and the virtual gains of eConnect are priceless. Without attaching a realistic reckonable value for the virtual gains, the known methodologies available to measure the Cost – Benefit Analysis can not present the true picture. Need we say more?
