He graduated from the British Army staff college, and has an MS from the US Army Command and General Staff College. He has undergone extensive training in leadership, personal effectiveness, motivation, assessment processes and competency mapping in India and abroad. His last assignment was a frontline posting as a Brigadier in Sri Lanka as part of the IPKF – a responsibility he discharged to the admiration of his colleagues.
