We could make it even more vibrant with members sponsoring gifts, dinners etc. Certainly, there are many who have access to such possibilities thanks to the next generation in your family/neighbourhood. Our permanent accommodation at the AFT has been rarely used and hence going to seed. Plans are afoot to revitalise this facility which will be discussed during the next meeting. Work on the creation of our own Website is nearing completion. This is courtesy one of our Members who has generously volunteered his time and effort. This should be ready for a launch during our June Meeting. Digital transfer of subscription has been hotly debated. Our total collection for the Kattupalli Visit was Rs 34,500. Out of this Rs 25,500 (over 70%) was through digital transfer. We thank you for your support to this efficient method that endorses our PMs Call. Let us embrace the new normal. The Secretary has been diligently working to scrutinise our membership, subscriptions and contact details. This has been completed and included in this Newsletter. His campaign to induct new members has paid rich dividends. Our Membership stands at 241. We request our Members to bring in more of our colleagues into this vibrant “AFVOA Family”. This Newsletter has been made in 18 days without stepping out of our home, while complying diligently with the LOCKDOWN rules. Technology provides such alternatives. Many predict that life post COVID 19 is never going to be the same. The Secretary has toiled close to 100 hours compiling the document. Wg Cdr Ravishankar opened our eyes to the e-BOOK World which I hope the Members will appreciate and enjoy.
