First wishes sent out today to Maj Gen R Karthikeyan, our Past President on his birthday. 10-Nov-19 Poppy Day / Remembrance Day Functions (a) Special service conducted at St Mary's Church, Fort St George attended by select Veterans. (b) President and invited Veterans and spouses attend reception hosted by Mr Oliver Ballhatchet, Deputy High Commissioner, British High Commission Chennai 11-Nov-19 The President and few Veterans attended the special Remembrance Day service at Commonwealth War Graves, Nandambakkam. 17-Nov-19 Bi- Monthly meeting held at PGOI. This was the first meeting conducted by the new MC. (a) Highlight of the meeting was performance by Sargam Choir. (b) Seven new members enrolled in AFVOA. (c) A record attendance of over 130 members and spouses. 07-Dec-19 Armed Forces Flag Day - A special program was broadcasted by All India Radio - A Channel. Col Lakshmana Kumar, Wg Cdr S Harshavardhan, and Wg Cdr K R Srikanth spoke on this program. 16-Dec-19 Vijay Diwas - Wreath laying ceremony held at Victory War Memorial Chennai.
