Page 4 of 9 THE NEXT BIMONTHLYMEETING IS ON 13 DECEMBER 2014 Just to remind all our members that the next bimonthly meeting is scheduled on 13 December 2014 at 10.30 AM at the GPSI as usual. The meeting will be followed by lunch. Maximum members are requested to attend the meet. Ladies are cordially invited to the event. Lunch tokens will be available at Rs 100 per person. Do pay by cheques in favour of Armed Forces Veterans Officers’ Association. It will help in ordering for the lunch if you will kindly confirm your attendance and requirement of lunch. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us serve you better. FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK At the outset I must apologise for such a long gap in bringing out our Newsletter. It has been a practice in the past by all Committees to bring out the Newsletter regularly. I assure all our esteemed members, that henceforth this will be adhered to. In this issue we have given a summary of all that has taken place since July 2013 when this Committee took over. In 2015, we will conduct our annual picnic and plan our bimonthly meetings as usual. We have also planned to hold a seminar in February 2015, to highlight The Advent of Entrepreneurial Businesses By Veterans. We welcome new members and make earnest endeavours to make our organisation grow. As we grow older and wiser, we are slowing down and look to ways to keep healthy and happy. We look forward to experiences from our veterans in the form of informed talks during our get togethers. Our Committee is deeply committed to upholding the ideals of the AFVOA and will strengthen all processes to keep it strong. With best wishes to all for the approaching New Year.
