Page 29 of 37 bang, in Jan last week, coinciding with our Annual Picnic. We proudly announce that on 07 Aug 2009, the AFVOA embraced 15th year of its existence and the symbolic Anniversary cake cutting will be organized in Nov meet. We are thankful to Major General Nitin Kohli, Offg GOC, ATNK&K Area, and Mrs. Kohli in accepting our invitation and be present in our last meet. We are appreciative of the GOC’s assurance in extending their cooperation in furthering AFVOA activities. We are also thankful to Commanding Officers of Naval and Airforce HQs in Chennai for their continued support and assistance. ‘Hello Veterans 2009’ is scheduled to be released in our Nov meet. Stupendous efforts have gone in to incorporate changes and updation of the old edition by selfless service of few of our dedicated Veterans. We profusely thank everyone involved in its compilation and release. It is upto us now to make sure that the contents are scrutinised and errors, if any, are corrected immediately. We are in the process of establishing our office at the Old MH Complex where our Executive meetings are held presently. Soon computer facility will also be established there and data base of the AFVOA would be created. Committee will be engaged for the next couple of months in completing the pending issues and taking action to get the already approved Amdts to Memorandum and Bye Laws registered with the Registrar, Cooperative Societies. The AFVOA ESM Welfare Transport has been discontinued since 16 Oct 2009 as it was found not self supporting in meeting even the regular expenses. The GOC has been informed and the vehicle handed over to ATNK&K Area for major repairs. Please find attached to this Newsletter the latest list of Empanelled Hospitals and Nursing Homes.
