Motivation Trg to NCC Cadets. One of the KRAs identified by the present Executive Committee on assuming office was to deliver lectures in Schools and Colleges to motivate children to join the Armed Forces. A delegation of AFVOA members comprising, Maj Gen R Karthikeyan, Brig NB Subramanian, Brig VA Subramanyam, Brig SP Balachandran, Col A Krishnaswami, and Wg Cdr Ravi Mani called on Cmde UN Chitnavis, DDG, NCC on17 Aug 2006 at his office. Considering the lack of awareness about the Armed Forces amongst the student population and poor intake from the NCC for commissions, Maj Gen R Karthikeyan voicing his concern offered the services of Veterans from the AFVOA to conduct motivational talks. Cmde UN Chitnavis opined that the major problem with the NCC cadets of Tamil Nadu was only the lack of communication skill due to which they are unable to make it for various
