Refund of Medical benefit Scheme (MBS) by AGIF All veterans who have enrolled themselves in the recently introduced ECHS are entitled for the refund of the money that was initially paid by them towards AGIF. Following actions are to be taken:-  Application to be sent to the AGIF on a plain paper, indicating Bank details, duly including your Account Number.  Send a photo copy of ECHS Registration letter / Smart Card.  Send Original card(s) of MBS Scheme, including supplementary card(s) issued by AGIF. (Note: You are advised to keep photocopies of all the documents, till the claim is settled.) 45. Grant of Dearness Release to Central Govt Pensioners / family Pensioners:-- Revised rate effective from 1 Jan 2004 A clarification has been issued on this subject by the Govt vide their Office Memo dated 21 Jun 2004. Salient points are as under:- “Pension would now be calculated at 50 % of the average emoluments in all cases subject to 50 % of the highest pay in the Govt plus the highest Dearness pay. The highest pay in the Govt wef 1.1.96 is Rs 30,000. The highest pension, therefore, comes to Rs 22,500 (Basic Pension 15,000 {50 % of Pay} plus Dearness pay of Rs 7500 {Highest, i.e. 50 % of Basic Pension} Few illustrative Examples as Published in Pensioner 2004 . are reproduced below:-
