The last month saw us completing our first decade of existence – setting to rest the prophecies of some of our brethren who early on left the fold as they expected the Organisation to collapse. These last Ten years have not only proved them wrong, but the Association has grown from strength to strength. But we need to keep in view what the founder of IBM has said – that we should not rest on our oars but constantly strive to move forwards and innovate if need be. 2. The activities of the Association have now fallen into a set routine. Members do look forward to the regular meetings as well as the annual outdoor picnic, which is slated for the month of December/January. But we need to realize, that we need to do more – much more, if the Association is to sustain for longer life. The need is to involve ourselves in more activities – outside the box as the modern management gurus would remark. Lack of accommodation should not hamper expansion of our activities. As Jim Rohn, one of the foremost Trainers mentions, that the man most likely to succeed is the one who is desperate – for he is the most motivated – as his survival depends on succeeding. Hence unless we desperately look for accommodation we are unlikely to get it. But then should our plans for increasing our activities be stymied for lack of space? Possibly we need to look at such activities where no space is required – like adopting a Corporation school. We hope that YOU will help us in this matter. This reminds one of the classic problem of which came first – the chicken or the egg? Should we first increase our activities or should we first look for space? You decide.
