Page 24 of 84 Decisions taken at the Executive Committee Meeting An Executive Committee meeting was held on 6 th March, at the NCC Officers’ Mess. The following decisions were taken: 1. Minimum Billing by the Gymkhana Club: This is being discussed at the EGM on 22 nd March. It was decided to defeat the motion when it comes up for voting. 2. Sub Committee for Registration of the Association: The following members are requested to study the various aspects involved and recommend whether the Association should be registered or not. 2.1. Maj JL Ratan 2.2. Col RI Subramanian 2.3. Brig K Muthulaxmi 2.4. Col A Krishnaswami, VrC VSM** 3. Allotment of Membership Numbers: It has been decided to allot Membership numbers to all members. 4. Incorporation of ladies in the Executive Committee: It was decided that to encourage greater participation by the ladies, a minimum of one lady will be co-opted in the Committee. 5. Sponsorships for the Meetings/Newsletter: The Committee would gratefully accept sponsorships for the above, for which members may like to spread the news. Organisations desirous of promoting their products could make use of this forum. The Executive Committee placed on record their appreciation for the devoted service rendered by the outgoing Committee led by Maj Gen RPRC Naidu, AVSM, VSM. The Committee also warmly applauded the gesture of Gen Naidu to continue his membership by paying the annual subscription for the year 2002 – 2003, even though he is relocating to Bangalore. For Your Information Please: Minimum Billing – Madras Gymkhana Club: A meeting was held at the Area Officers’ on the 22 nd March so as to arrive at a consensus before the motion was put to vote at the EGM. After discussing the issue at length, it was decided, that in the interest of maintaining the Institution of the Club, that we gracefully accept a nominal increase of Rs 200/- per month as minimum billing instead of Rs 350/- per month as proposed by the Club Committee. This was carried unanimously at the meeting. Grant of Family Pension for Life to Handicapped children: A son or daughter of an officer suffering from any disorder or disability of mind or physically crippled or disabled which renders him or her to earn a living even after the age of 25 years is eligible for a grant of Family Pension for Life after the death of widow of the officer and where there are no other eligible children. Action by the Guardian. The Guardian should forward details of handicapped child to Army Headquarters/ AG Org-3(b), West Block – III, RK Puram New Delhi – 100 066, who after verification of details will forward it to CDA(Pensions), who will acknowledge the same, indicating that the details of the handicapped child have been taken on records.
