In the last Newsletter, we mentioned that we honour all the elderly officers of the Defence services, who have attained the age of 85 plus, and are settled in Chennai - be they members or otherwise. To start with we are intending to call the following, who are all 85 years plus. They are:  Col RD Iyer, AMC, Padma Bhushan  Sqn Ldr KV Pillai  Lt Col N T Rajan, ASC.  Col S Ramalingam, AMC 22. As brought out in the previous issue, a seminar is being organized on 19 th Aug 2001. This Seminar is intended to be informative to cover various aspects to be attended by the next of kin, in the unfortunate event of the demise of the veteran. Guest speakers will address the Seminar, to cover the following subjects:  Banking, - Ms Madhavi Menon, Branch Manager, Syndicate Bank, Adyar.  Insurance, - Shri K Thyagarajan, Consultant, on Insurance  Postal, - Maj Varadarajulu, OC ATNKK & G Area SDS Unit  Tax, Legal and other matters – Brig (Ms) K Muthulaxmi. 23. The Seminar will be interactive and members may please clarify their doubts during the session. Next Meeting You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about.
