The next meeting is a formal occasion devoted exclusively to the release of the Telephone Directory – “Hello Veterans”. The meeting is being organized by us, at the Area Officers Mess, Island Grounds, opposite the Munro statue. Maj Gen V Jayashankar, GOC, HQ ATNKK & G Area, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for the function. We have invited senior serving officers drawn from the local service headquarters and other senior officials in the station. It will be an opportunity for the members of the AFVOA and their wives to meet the senior serving officers in the station. It will also enable us to project some of our views during this meet. It is requested that members may please observe proper dress code, as the function is being held in the Area officers Mess. The details of the Meet are as follows: Date: Saturday, 21 st April 2001 Venue: Area Officers Mess, Island Grounds. Time of Assemble: 1600 hours Dress: Full sleeves with open collar. 12. It is requested that all members and their wives kindly grace this function to project the solidarity of the AFVOA in the correct perspective. 13.
