I feel that I must unburden myself of the debt of gratitude I owe to the members and the Managing Committee of the AFVOA for the psychological and emotional support that I(and possibly others) have derived from the host of live web programmes as well as the e-newsletters since March last year. I had assumed that given my perception (not entirely accurate) of myself as fairly self-contained, and my varied interests would combine to keep me from entering the slough of despondency or from a feeling of isolation due to the pandemic and its effects. While I may have done better than many, I discovered that the regular on-line interactions that have been organised by AFVOA have done much to keep me cheerful and grounded. This experience is in common with many members, and I am happy to one among them. 2. I offer for your consideration a request that every newsletter include an "Editor's Choice" of a few selected web-sites of interest to all, with an eclectic range of subjects.
