Section 3 – Value Add / Special Tasks CV 2 No. 01 / 2021 Page 15 of 123 Section 3 – Value Add / Special Tasks Completion of Second Wave of Digitization of Old AFVOA Newsletters The Managing Committee is delighted to announce that as on 24 Jan 21 we have completed the second wave of digitization of the old Newsletters. This constitutes the successful culmination of a cherished milestone in the Committee’s Wish List of unearthing AFVOA’s precious Time Capsule, so well nurtured by the pioneer members. Our assumptions indicate that a total number of 80 Newsletters were published between year 2000 and 2014 and 72 of them have now been recovered and digitized. That’s a whopping 90% of the target! While the Committee would still endeavour to reach the coveted milestone of achieving 100%, the second wave of digitization has been made live now. The other interesting data point is that the number of pages digitized thus far is 1,020.
