Section 5 - Memoirs CV 2 No. 03 / 2020 Page 65 of 167 About the Author Brig T M Sridharan, VSM (Retd) was commissioned on 14 Feb 1965 into the Corps of Signals. He is a telecom engineer and MSc from Madras University. Alumni of DSSC and CDM had held coveted appointments. He commanded prestigious 1 Armoured Division Signal Regiment 1988 to 1991. Prior to retirement he was Deputy MS, AHQ and approved for promotion to the rank of Maj Gen. On retirement in Jan 1998 he joined Iridium India Limited as VP (tech). In 2000 May he became CEO, of one of the startups of HINDUJA Group of Companies and was on the board of directors in few other companies, in Mumbai. In 2010 he moved to Chennai as Chairman of a Telecommunication Company and continued till 2012. Due to bypass surgery he decided to quit full time job. However, he continued as director of few companies till 2018. He has two sons who are doctorates from prestigious USA Universities. They are working in Google and Microsoft in senior positions in USA. He is blessed with four grandchildren. A widower since Aug 2004, he now lives in Chennai.
