Section 3 – Letters to the Editor CV 2 No. 03 / 2020 Page 29 of 167 Section 3 – Letters to the Editor Dear All: 1. I have just finished reading the CVV of 15 Aug 2020. That it has taken one more than a month after its publication to read might appear as an indictment of the e-newsletter and its contents- a conclusion not only misplaced, but at opposed to facts as can be! There is no one else to blame other than a quirk of mine for my denying myself the utter absorption with which the newsletter was devoured in two sittings between yesterday and today. I was waiting to read the newsletter on my Kindle reader, and after I had converted the PDF version to adapt to Kindle, reading CVV was a breeze, on account of convenience as the Kindle affords, against the inconvenient (conducive to a stiff neck and some eye strain) means of reading it on a desktop or laptop! 2. As most of us would have found, this edition of the newsletter leaves little to be desired by way of improvement, but sets the bar so high that it will be difficult for any editorial committee as well as contributors of articles to maintain the standard in forthcoming issues. The abundance of writing talent among our veterans and families should help to make CVV a looked forward to publication not only for those who have direct connections to the AFVOA, but to our fraternity in India and abroad. 3. I wondered if I should try and list the contributions I liked best, but have demurred because I was spoilt for choice. That said, I would certainly like to point out that the contributions by the spouses are very welcome indeed. Well done, and more power to the editorial committee and to the pens of the contributors.
