The sage was one of the greatest logicians the world has ever known. Vishaka Hari could have chosen any profession – a writer, a scholar, a musician. But she turned into an exponent of Indian form of narration combining music, storytelling, scriptures, folk songs, literature and poetry. Transcending languages, she captivates her audience by her sheer brilliance. During this event, she surprised us all by her accounts of brave women of India who had distinguished themselves in war. Honestly, many of the names she mentioned were new to me. If only our generals listen to her narration, they would not bat their eyelids even for one moment to grant permanent commission to lady officers! Col Krishnaswami’s track of AFVOA history (or his story) with all the attendant details is a continuation of his account from the May issue of the Newsletter.
