About the Author Born in Coimbatore and educated in Chennai, Wg Cdr Sundaram Krishnamurthy became part of IAF, through 31st course, NDA. Flew helicopters from 1967 to 1990 while in the Airforce right through the 1971 War, and to all regions including South Pole. He served in the Squadron that flew extensively in the Eastern Sector. The charter and off-shore flying continued in civil too. After active flying, he concentrated on Flight Safety, Aviation Security and Quality (ISO). Has been part of several audit on the above. After serving as Chief of Flight Safety in two of the Juhu based off-shore companies, he has settled in Mumbai and can be contacted on <sukrani1946@gmail.com> .
