They were formally introduced in the virtual meetings held on 19 Jul 2020 and 02 Aug 2020. We once again extend our hearty welcome to all them in our fraternity. Newsletter – Review, Feedback & Analysis RAGHU’S REAR VIEW MIRROR (Review of our Newsletter 02/20 by Late Cdr M Raghunath) was not at all at sea in while navigating through the second issue of eBook though I wondered why the book (pdf version) would shut down without any warning whatsoever whenever I got to page 22. Maybe it was a unique problem on my computer. Befitting the new name of the eBook, President Varthaman’s message vibes well with its crisp highlights. He and his MC will be remembered for their launch of eConnect to keep AFVOA in an animated existence instead of listless suspension! It is indeed heartening that AFVOA is headed by a distinguished veteran with enviable achievements. I know him as a humane individual rising above rank, title and position. During his diplomatic assignment in Europe, he is credited to have built close defence cooperation with India (para 2 on page 9). Deeply mired in political neglect, bureaucratic riddles and public apathy, India is the only nation where its armed forces are reduced to building first defence cooperation with its own government before negotiating such cooperation with foreign countries.
