It is sure fun and time well spent when we advertise our goods for sale on such a platform! Boredom vanishes as we get our act together! I have learnt to give away loads of stuff through OLX!! The 'TV' which is now the focal point of super seniors is also a welcome attraction for the seniors and not so seniors too. Saving money and hassle of trooping to a theatre, we indulge in our private Home Theatre with latest offerings! We can at will, pause, attend to our wants/needs and get back with freshly made buttery instant popcorn to indulge in the viewing ...be it music/drama/ chants/ films the choice is mind boggling, No lack of entertainment! Digital pursuits of online games/ Sudoku/ Mahjong are all effective keys to use Time. E-Learning is now a beautiful pursuit! Learning a new language has become so very simple! 'Duo lingo' offers a wide variety of languages to choose from! Am attempting 'Bhahasa Indonesia' as from my travels to Singapore have learnt that 50% of Singapore speaks Malay which is akin to Indonesian language! Then there is Vedanta where illuminating talks on the Vedas/Upanishads and basic principles are eruditely put across by eminent speakers like Swami Parthasarathy and his daughter Sunandaji from Vedanta .org. Chanting the Gita and the Vedas has been made delightfully easy, if we can spare the time, by seeking them out! Information on our spiritual Heritage is beautifully illumined in 'Bharat Gyan, by one of my former students from Rishi Valley- D.K Hari, through the Art of Living foundation. The sporty types are indeed handicapped by the rule of law! But now that Gyms are open early birds can have their daily dose too. Sans walks the elderly are forced to walk aimlessly from room to room or perhaps can do the 'figure of eight' that the Siddhas advocate; easily done using the dining table as the centre point. Walk on the terrace or around one's block is permissible and one takes delight in togging up for the jaunt! So my friends, Life is just testing us! Where do you want to go? Travel is now a 'no-no' with several countries disallowing tourism. Stiff Quarantine do's and don'ts are all together quite impossible for the veterans/super seniors!
