Section 2 – News / Updates from the Association CV 2 No. 03 / 2020 Page 9 of 167 eConnect, the Necessity of the Times We have continued with our efforts to connect with members during this lockdown period through our eConnect series of talk shows. Our endeavour is to bring many prominent personalities to share their expertise and achievements in their respective fields with us. We have held 8 eConnect series talk shows since the issue of the last newsletter on 15 Aug 20. We have received tremendous support, appreciation and encouragement from members and their spouses and we in our Management Committee wish to convey our sincere thanks to all of you. We are hopeful of bringing in more eminent speakers of repute and more interesting topics in the coming months. A short and crisp references to the virtual meetings are presented below : Date 23 Aug 2020 Time 11:00 am To enlighten us on the need for water conservation Prof S Janakarajan, an International Expert on Water Management spoke to us on the topic “Water is our life; What is the future of Water? Date 06 Sep 2020 Time 11:00 am Our guest on show on the day was Dr Roop Gursahani the most vocal advocate for “Living Will”. He spoke in detail about the subject and gave a deep insight on this subject which many of us were not aware of. Date 26 Sep 2020 Time 11:00 am “Trial by Media” was the subject for the day and Mr Sanjay Pinto, the former Resident Editor of NDTV and a practicing advocate spoke to us on appalling state where lives of individuals are torn apart by media investigations, assumptions, accusations, fake news etc.
