While in service he has flown many types of aeroplanes and had participated in various operations like Operations Pawan in Srilanka, Operations Cactus in Maldives. After taking Pre Mature Retirement from IAF, he is flying for commercial airlines as a Senior Commander. He also writes books and articles in both Kannada and English. Hasiru Hampe (Evergreen Hampi) and Yodha Namana are widely read by Kannada readers. He is based out of Bengaluru.
