Our endeavour is to bring many prominent personalities to share their expertise and achievements in their respective fields with us. We have held 10 eConnect series talk shows since the issue of the last newsletter on 14 Apr 2021. We have received tremendous support, appreciation and encouragement from members and their spouses and we in our Management Committee wish to convey our sincere thanks to all of you. We are hopeful of bringing in more eminent speakers of repute and more interesting topics in the coming months. A short and crisp references to the virtual meetings are presented below : Date 18 Apr 2021 Time 11:00 am Dr Y V N Krishna Murthy, the distinguished Scientist, spoke on Space Technology and its application for the growth of our Nation. He explained about ISRO being a global leader in space application and how it is setting standards to other industries and corporations to emulate. Date 25 Apr 2021 Time 11 :00 am Our guest on show was Mr Sudhanshu Mani, the leader, visionary and creator of TRAIN 18 who narrated his experience in designing, building and operationalizing the Vande Bharat Express. He spoke about how his TEAM overcame the complex bureaucracy, archaic procedures, and departmental rivalries to create a world class train in just 18 months. Date 29 Apr 2021 Time 08:00 am Col G T Thampi of 2/4 GR, our member celebrated his 100 th Birthday on 29 Apr 21 at Trivandrum. All memebrs of AFVOA, joined him and his family memebers in celebrating his birth centeneray vituually and wished him a long life, good health and all happiness. Date 16 May 2021 Time 11:00 am
