Subsequently he worked as Director (Finance and Accounts) in the Institute of Company Secretaries of India at New Delhi. From 1997 to 2009, he was with the Government of Botswana, in their Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, working initially as Chief Accountant (Banking) and later as Accountant General. He is settled in Chennai. He is a Cost and Management Accountant and a Company Secretary and an alumni of DSSC, Wellington.
