His indoctrination into EDP was during 1984 in Military College of Telecommunications Engineering (MCTE), Mhow. He had a long tenure of 6 years at a stretch in EDP Wing of AFCAO, revamping the computerized Officers Pay System between 1985 and 1990. He is an alumnus of the DSSC, Wellington. He also holds PG degrees in Business Administration and Computer Applications. He availed PMR in Jul 1998 to make Chennai his permanent home and to make a second career in IT. He was an SAP Consultant for two years, part of which was with L & T Infotech, Mumbai. He changed over his line to Java based product development in BFSI domain during 2000 and was with a Palo Alto based startup for six years. He currently heads the Operations and Delivery of a medium sized Indian multi national headquartered in Mumbai, for the 15th year running (www.hurix.com ). He is passionate about his work. Married to Wg Cdr (Mrs) Indu Ravishankar, a specialist in General Medicine. The couple has a daughter who is based out of Germany. His recent pastimes are casual blogging and active Smuling, specializing in mushy mushy Tamil duets of yester years!
