Section 6 - Memoirs CV 2 No. 02 / 2021 Page 143 of 332 Struggle – sacrifice reaped success and professionalism led to an award during my innings in the Sqn in one of the Gunnery meets in the year 2005, for providing max aircraft and fixing bombs /stores on the air craft and firing 3kgs Bomb 25 pound Bomb, Aden gun filling cartridges to fitting rocket pods, CBLS, LGB 1000LB and BL755. Our squadron was adjudged the best fighter squadron due to the capability of our highly professional pilots’ skills in gunnery and weapon aiming skills and engineering support of technicians in the entire WAC sector, bagging 11 out of 15 trophies in the Gunnery meet. My then Commanding Officer Wg Cdr Tejinder Singh was the team leader and was in the forefront to make it happen. It involved perfect launch of bombs, rockets and Aden gun firing by Jaguar aircraft and this was achieved by pure team work of good professional pilots of our squadron and the technical support. After my Sqn tenure, with God’s grace I moved to pursue my post-graduation from IIT Kharagpur. Later I was posted as Regional Director DGAQA involved in qualification testing and certification of avionics. The Govt. of India had a Strategic Planning of upgrading the existing Maritime border through electronic surveillance by having a Mobile Satellite System (MSS) on the P8I Boeing aircraft and hence I was involved as Regional Director DGAQA HAL Hyderabad in qualification testing and certification of the MSS at DGAQA HAL Hyderabad and had been instrumental in receiving laurels from Minister of State of Defence for successful testing of 1st prototype qualification of MSS (Mobile Satellite System) on Boeing P8I aircraft. Post retirement from IAF, I am presently serving with Chennai Metro Rail as Additional General Manager with Rail Infrastructure Development. Presently I Head the Dept of procurement of works related to Design-Build, Construction of Metro Stations, and Tunnels and Via ducts.
