In the early years she taught in several schools at Air Force Stations in Ambala, Amritsar, Jodhpur and Allahabad. After her husband retired from the Air Force, she taught at SNDT School, Mumbai and The School KFI in Chennai. The multi-talented Lady, Practices Advanced Pranic Healing, Reiki, Bach Flower Therapy and Healing Mudras. She teaches Indian Classical Music, takes active interest in programs at Dakshin Chitra, is a Volunteer at BANYAN – Home for mentally challenged women, Permanent member of Blue Cross of India among many other activities. She is the Trustee of an NGO “Hand in Hand” based in Kancheepuram and Advisor/ Counsellor at the Mahatma Gandhi School. Bringing alive lndian Folklore, through Nanation, Drama Puppetry & Music, for the Visiting students of Pittsburg University ( semester at sea)... At DAKSHIN CHITRA. . Teaching & Guiding Visiting students from various Universities in the USA, for seminar presentations on the Theory & Practice of lndian Classical Music .
